The Gravel of Marathon · From registration to the awards
Race Day Schedule:
Sunday 15 November
Race day at The Gravel of Marathon starts early, and we want you to know from now how it will unfold, so that you can plan your Sunday with peace of mind. The race secretariat opens at 7:00 in the morning, which leaves you plenty of time to get ready before the start and to collect your race number, if you have not already done so at the Bike Expo in Kotzia Square.
At 8:30 we expect you at the start line, and at 8:45 the technical briefing will take place, with the final instructions on the course and on safety. At 9:00 the long course of 95 kilometres sets off, and five minutes later, at 9:05, the short course of 65 kilometres follows.
A cut-off point is set at the second aid station, at the entrance to Lake Marathon, at 14:30. Riders who have not passed it by then will not continue on the course, for safety reasons, and will ride back to the start along the asphalt road. At 14:00, the awards ceremony begins for the first riders, and the event closes at 17:00.
