All events are gravel category, so a gravel bike is the preferred choice. However, you can also participate with an MTB or another bike suitable for mixed terrain, in accordance with the technical specifications and regulations of each event individually.
All three events are included in the HCF 2026 Competitive Calendar, in the category “Cycling for All”.
No. In the Gravel Challenge series, both licensed athletes and recreational cyclists can participate. They are open to everyone!
Exactly—you are our audience! Everyone who cycles, according to their age and personal goals, and most importantly, loves cycling, is welcome.
The Megalopolis and Amarantos events are self-supported, meaning the organizer provides the route in GPX format, and participants are responsible for following it to reach the finish.
However, both routes are well-marked and have sufficient feed stations, so while they are self-supported, they are also suitable for participants who want a bit more comfort!
If you have an athlete license, no, it is covered by your license. If you don’t have a license, yes, we require a certificate confirming that your health condition allows you to participate in a long-distance athletic event —mainly to reassure yourself that you are fit to ride.
