In Marathon, the first UCI Gravel World Series race in Greece brings riders from across Europe to the start line. But you do not need to be a competitive rider to enjoy the atmosphere. As part of The Gravel of Marathon, we are organising the EYDAP Fun Ride, a ride for everyone, beside Lake
The route offers two options, 4 or 8 kilometres, on packed dirt with no elevation gain.
There are no climbs to test you and no reason to hurry: the pace is yours, the view of the lake accompanies you throughout, and the dirt beneath your wheels is exactly what makes gravel so appealing to those who try it.
It is a rare opportunity to see up close the lake that supports the water supply of Attica, from a vantage point that no public road offers.
The EYDAP Fun Ride is open to everyone and suits every level. You can take part on a gravel bike, a mountain bike or a trekking bike, whatever you already have in your garage. If you do not have a bike, or you would like to try a gravel bike for the first time, the organisers offer bike rental, so that nobody is left out. The start and finish take place at Lake Marathon.
